Russian strikes kill three, wound several in Ukraine

Published on: January 28, 2026 4:15 PM

Fresh Russian strikes killed three people and wounded several across Ukraine on Wednesday. The attacks followed heavy bombardment the previous night. Ukrainian authorities reported casualties in Kyiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Earlier strikes on Tuesday night killed at least 12 people, including five passengers on a train hit by a drone. Ukrainian officials condemned the attacks and said civilians were targeted. The violence comes amid ongoing peace efforts.

In Kyiv region’s Bilogorodska community, a man and a woman died. Their four-year-old child was wounded, and three others were injured. Regional official Mykola Kalashnyk shared details on Telegram, emphasizing the human cost of the strikes.

Meanwhile, in central Dnipropetrovsk, a drone strike killed a 46-year-old man. Five others were wounded, including one seriously. Authorities said these attacks caused power outages in freezing winter temperatures.
