PML-N, PPP join hands for by-polls

Published on: October 10, 2018 8:18 PM

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has announced to withdraw its candidates in favor of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in upcoming by-elections in Sindh.

A PPP spokesperson said that PML-N has decided to withdraw its candidates in the favor of PPP in the upcoming by-polls on October 14 and 21 respectively.

Earlier, PPP decided to withdraw its candidate to back a PML-N candidate in the upcoming by-election in Rawalpindi.

In a combine press conference, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) announced support for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Sajjad Khan for National Assembly -60 constituency in Rawalpindi.

PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira said a few days ago that both the parties would support each other’s candidates in the forthcoming by-elections. PML-N’s Rana Sanaullah had also confirmed his party’s support for PPP and vice versa in a statement earlier.
