Finance minister Aurangzeb heads to the US for key meetings

Finance Minister Mohammad Aurangzeb has left for the United States to attend meetings. He will participate in the World Bank Group and IMF Spring Meetings scheduled from April 21 to April 26. During his visit, he aims to strengthen Pakistan’s economic ties with global partners.

While in the U.S., Aurangzeb will meet Treasury and State Department officials. He will also hold discussions with finance ministers from China, the UK, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. These meetings are crucial for Pakistan’s economic interests and development initiatives.

Additionally, the Finance Minister will address investment forums and seminars. He plans to discuss Pakistan’s economic landscape and latest financial reforms. This includes a roundtable session with institutional investors, focusing on recent developments and collaboration with the IMF.

Furthermore, Aurangzeb will meet with key thought leaders and media representatives during his U.S. visit. He will also engage with the Gates Foundation and other international organizations. These interactions are expected to enhance cooperation in financial health and sustainability through climate initiatives.
