PTI founder’s jail talk: Top lawyers and family join forces

Published on: July 7, 2025 5:44 PM

On Tuesday, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is scheduled to meet with six prominent lawyers and close family members at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, amid ongoing political and legal challenges faced by the party leadership.

The official list of lawyers submitted to jail authorities includes senior legal figures such as Barrister Goher and Barrister Salman Akram Raja. Also on the list are Barrister Salman Safdar, Naeem Panjotha, Niazullah Niazi, and Zaheer Abbas—key legal representatives actively involved in PTI’s legal matters.

The delegation of lawyers is expected to discuss the founder’s legal strategy and current cases. Meanwhile, family members including his sisters—Alima Khan, Noreen Niazi, and Uzma Khan—will join the meeting, along with the family of Bushra Bibi, providing moral and emotional support during this critical time.

This high-profile meeting reflects the intensified legal scrutiny and political pressure on PTI leaders as they navigate ongoing investigations and court proceedings.
