Terrorists cannot stop Pakistan’s progress, says ISPR chief

Published on: July 24, 2025 12:32 PM

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Director General of ISPR, said a few terrorists cannot stop Pakistan’s progress and unity. He addressed students during a special visit to King Edward Medical University in Lahore. The students greeted him with applause and enthusiasm. In his speech, he highlighted national unity, youth empowerment, and military achievements. He said the people of Balochistan are deeply connected to Pakistan through shared religion, history, and culture.

General Sharif gave detailed insight into Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs, calling it a major military success. He said the operation showed how strategy and unity lead to peace. He praised the soldiers for their bravery and the youth for their unwavering support. According to him, public confidence played a key role in defeating enemies. The operation, he added, was a turning point in restoring stability in troubled regions.

He also spoke firmly about the Kashmir issue, calling it central to Pakistan’s identity. “Kashmir was, is, and will remain Pakistan’s jugular vein,” he said. His strong stance received loud support from the audience. He urged the youth to stay united, informed, and active in national development. He called on them to trust their armed forces and believe in Pakistan’s future.

General Sharif said that most Baloch citizens want peace, education, and development. He stated that only a few extremists try to harm Balochistan’s image and slow its growth. However, the state will not allow this to continue. He emphasized that these terrorists cannot stop the progress of Balochistan or Pakistan. The government and military remain committed to building a stronger and safer future.

At the end of the session, students praised the military’s efforts and sacrifices. They thanked the ISPR chief for visiting and sharing his message. Many expressed a desire for more sessions like this to better understand national issues. The visit ended with patriotic songs, photographs, and warm exchanges. It was a powerful display of unity between youth and the armed forces.
