“He’s your artist too”: Chinyoti urges Indians to support Diljit

Published on: July 24, 2025 4:02 PM

Pakistani comedian Nasir Chinyoti has spoken out in support of Indian actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh, who recently faced criticism in India over his film Sardaar Ji 3. The film, which stars Pakistani actress Hania Aamir alongside Diljit, was released globally on June 27 but has yet to be shown to the public in India due to opposition from right-wing elements.

In a heartfelt video message, Nasir Chinyoti addressed Indian fans directly. He urged them to support Diljit, describing him as “your own artist and your brother.” Chinyoti emphasized that the actor deserves love, not backlash, for promoting artistic collaboration across borders.

Chinyoti also expressed gratitude to Diljit for standing by Pakistani artists. “We already loved you, and now we love you even more,” he said. The comedian played a role in Sardaar Ji 3 alongside Hania Aamir, making it a rare example of cross-border creative work.

The backlash comes despite the film being made well before recent tensions between India and Pakistan. Chinyoti reminded viewers that art should unite people, not divide them. He thanked audiences in Pakistan and abroad for supporting the movie and called on Indian fans to rise above political noise.

In conclusion, Chinyoti’s message aimed to refocus attention on art, mutual respect, and the need for cultural unity. As the film garners praise worldwide, his call for love over hate is a timely reminder of the power of shared storytelling.
