Legendary actor Ishrat Abbas passes away in Peshawar

Veteran actor Ishrat Abbas passed away in Peshawar on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest. His funeral was held the same morning at Government College Faqirabad, where many fans, fellow artists, and colleagues gathered to pay their final respects. The news has left the entertainment industry in deep sorrow.

Abbas was best known for his work during Pakistan Television’s golden era. He appeared in many popular drama serials and stage plays, where his emotional depth and natural dialogue delivery won widespread praise. His presence on screen made him a beloved figure across generations.

He was born in Peshawar and began his career in theater before moving to television. Over the years, he worked with many top actors and directors, playing a wide range of roles. His performances were known for their authenticity, passion, and cultural relevance.
