Rainwater drainage completes in Gujrat on CM’s order

On Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s directions, Gujrat got cleaned as an operation to drain rainwater continued throughout night. Sanitary workers in Gujrat were assigned to clean sewer lines. WASA, Waste Management and teams of other related departments were continuously active in Gujrat city, where all disposal stations were operating at full capacity. The latest machinery for drainage had also been immediately called for cleaning of drains and drainage of rainwater from Gujrat Jail Chowk, Shah Jahan Road, Railway Road, Circular Road, Machili Chowk and Noorpur East, besides drainage in Qamar Sialvi Chowk, Gulzar-e-Madina Chowk, Tambal Nawab Chowk, GT Road, Shah Hussain Road and Gharib Pura. Process of removing dirt and plastic from sewer lines on Ice Factory Road continued throughout night. Chief Minister approved world-class state-of-the-art sewerage system for Gujrat, work on which would begin soon on her directions.
