Ducky Bhai’s bail rejected in gambling apps promotion case

Published on: September 22, 2025 6:11 PM

Lahore: A local court has rejected the post-arrest bail request of popular YouTuber Saad ur Rehman, known as Ducky Bhai, in the ongoing case related to the promotion of illegal gambling applications. The decision came from Judicial Magistrate Naeem Wattoo, despite defense arguments that the charges were false and politically motivated.

Ducky Bhai was arrested earlier and remains in jail on judicial remand. His lawyer, Advocate Chaudhry Usman Ali, filed for bail under Section 497 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The defense claimed the FIR was filed with malicious intent and lacked credible evidence, calling it an attempt to damage his reputation.

In the petition, the defense argued that the applications promoted in Ducky Bhai’s videos had not been declared illegal at the time. They also noted that the investigating authorities failed to produce any proof of fraud, scamming, or financial harm directly linked to him.

The lawyer pointed out that the charges under Sections 294-B and 420 of the Pakistan Penal Code are both bailable. Moreover, no alleged victim or financial complainant had appeared in court to support the prosecution’s claims.

The defense further stated that Ducky Bhai had no prior criminal record, had no intention of fleeing the country, and was willing to submit a surety bond. However, the court remained unconvinced and rejected the request, meaning he will remain behind bars as the investigation continues.
