Punjab to hold MDCAT exam on October 26 across 12 cities

Published on: October 3, 2025 7:20 PM

The Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in Punjab is scheduled for October 26, 2025. The exam will be conducted under the supervision of the University of Health Sciences (UHS) across twelve cities in the province. More than 50,000 candidates are expected to participate this year.

To ensure smooth arrangements, the Specialized Healthcare Department has directed deputy commissioners in all 12 districts to finalize preparations. Key departments, including Rescue 1122, traffic police, and other law enforcement agencies, will be on high alert during the exam day to maintain order and assist candidates.

For added security, the provincial government has submitted a request to the Home Department for the implementation of Section 144. This step aims to prevent any large gatherings or disruptions near exam centres. The authorities are committed to ensuring a peaceful and fair testing environment.

UHS has assigned duties to senior faculty members to conduct the exam transparently. Background checks and security clearances are also being carried out for all examination staff involved. These steps aim to prevent any malpractice and uphold the exam’s credibility.

Overall, Punjab’s administration appears well-prepared to hold the MDCAT exam safely and efficiently. Candidates are advised to reach their respective centres on time and follow all rules to avoid any issues on test day.
