Ishaq Dar, UK Envoy Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments

Dar appreciates strengthening Pak-UK ties

ISLAMABAD – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Saturday praised the growing strength of Pakistan–United Kingdom relations and the recent leadership-level engagements between the two countries.

He expressed these views during a meeting with the UK High Commissioner to Pakistan, Jane Marriott, who called on him in Islamabad. Both sides discussed ways to further enhance bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on important regional and global developments.

A day earlier, Senator Dar also held a telephone conversation with European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas. The two leaders reviewed recent regional and global developments and appreciated the positive momentum in Pakistan–EU relations.

They welcomed the frequent high-level exchanges between Pakistan and the European Union and agreed to maintain constructive engagement at both bilateral and multilateral levels.

The two sides also looked forward to the upcoming Pakistan–EU Strategic Dialogue, scheduled to be held in Brussels in November.
