Pakistan Army Kills Over 70 Gul Bahadur Group Terrorists in Paktika

Published on: October 19, 2025 11:35 AM

RAWALPINDI: In a major counterterrorism operation, the Pakistan Army killed over 70 terrorists of the Gul Bahadur group in Paktika, security officials confirmed on Friday.

According to reports, the targeted strikes were carried out on the night of October 17, destroying multiple terrorist hideouts. Among those killed were several key commanders involved in orchestrating cross-border attacks into Pakistan.

Officials said the Gul Bahadur group was behind numerous terror incidents, including a recent failed suicide attack in Khadi, North Waziristan, which martyred three women, two children, and a soldier.

Prominent ringleaders killed include Farman alias Alakrama, Siddiq Ullah Dawar, Ghazi Madakhail, Muqrab, Qismat Ullah, Gulab alias Dewana, Rehmani, Adil, and Fazal Ur Rehman — who was reportedly a close relative of Gul Bahadur.

The security sources termed the operation a “major success”, describing it as a decisive blow to the terror infrastructure operating from across the Afghan border.

The strikes come amid heightened tensions following repeated cross-border attacks by militants seeking to destabilize Pakistan’s border regions.
