HYDERABAD: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Sindh police arrested two absconding terrorists affiliated with the Indian proxy network “Fitna al-Hindustan” during an intelligence-based operation in Hyderabad’s Gulistan-e-Sarmast area, ARY News reported on Monday.
The suspects, identified as Abdul Rahim Khoso and Ghulam Shabbir, were captured during a targeted raid conducted by CTD Hyderabad in the Qasimabad area. Officials confirmed that the operation led to the recovery of hand grenades, explosive materials, terror financing funds, and key documents.

According to CTD sources, the seized weapons were the same ones used in the April attack on a CTD mobile van in Loni Kot, Jamshoro. During interrogation, the suspects revealed information that helped officials recover three more hand grenades and additional explosive materials. Authorities stated that both men are key operatives of the Fitna al-Hindustan network, with evidence linking them to terror financing and attacks on law enforcement. Investigations are ongoing to trace their facilitators and other members of the group.

Last month, security forces in Quetta foiled a suicide attack believed to have been planned by the same network. Five militants — including a suicide bomber — were killed during the operation near Jinnah Road, where attackers disguised in Frontier Corps (FC) uniforms attempted to target security personnel. Officials say the latest arrests mark a significant breakthrough in efforts to dismantle the network’s presence in Sindh and Balochistan.
