In a post shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Chaudhry said, “Senior politician and important PML-N leader Siddiqui is unwell. He has been put on a ventilator due to severe illness.” He also prayed for the senator’s speedy recovery and requested the public to keep him in their prayers.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui currently serves as the chairman of the Senate’s Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and is also the PML-N’s parliamentary leader in the Senate. A respected figure in Pakistan’s political and journalistic circles, Siddiqui has long been associated with national policymaking and diplomacy.
