Continuing its mission to promote the cause of education for humanity, Allah Walay Trust (AWT) has extended remarkable financial assistance to deserving and hardworking students of Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF). The initiative was organized under the supervision of Dr. Khalid Manzoor Butt, whose leadership has been instrumental in turning the educational dreams of underprivileged students into reality.
The interviews were held at the Trust’s head office (Mega Kitchen) in Lahore, attended by Dr Shazia Lone (Finance Secretary AWT), Dr Asim Farooqi (former MS Punjab Dental College), Dr Saadia Rafiq (educationist), Dr Qazi Muhammad Ali (PHEC), and Mr Majid (Director PHEC).
Dr Khalid Manzoor Butt stated that the objective of Allah Walay Trust is to provide financial and academic support to talented students facing economic hardship, enabling them to complete their education and contribute meaningfully to national progress. On this occasion, the focal person of GCUF expressed gratitude to AWT for its generous support, noting that such initiatives lay the foundation for positive social change and educational stability.
Out of 64 applicants, 60 students were declared successful in the interviews. The Trust approved a total of Rs 5.658 million for their educational expenses – including Rs 2.816 million for university fees, Rs 2.524 million as monthly stipends, Rs 150,000 for hostel charges, and Rs 168,000 for mess charges.
In conclusion, Shahid Lone remarked that investing in education is, in fact, investing in the nation’s bright future, and Allah Walay Trust will continue this mission with unwavering passion and sincerity.
