
PESHAWAR – A fire that erupted in the basement of the Outpatient Department (OPD) at Lady Reading Hospital on Friday was successfully extinguished, rescue officials confirmed.
According to initial reports, the blaze is believed to have been caused by a short circuit. Rescue personnel used smoke ejectors to clear the area, and fortunately, no casualties were reported.
Four fire brigade vehicles, two ambulances, and a 20-member Rescue 1122 team participated in the firefighting operation. Officials said the fire was brought under control through timely and coordinated efforts.
