Massive fire breaks out at Lahore bicycle factory

A major fire broke out at a bicycle manufacturing factory in Lahore’s Shibli Town near Miraj Mosque on Band Road on Sunday, prompting an immediate emergency response.

Rescue 1122 teams swiftly arrived at the scene, deploying multiple firefighting units to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjacent buildings in the industrial area.

Firefighters are actively engaged in extinguishing the fire, using water hoses and other equipment, while officials monitor the situation to ensure that no further risks threaten nearby residential or commercial properties.

Authorities have confirmed that, so far, no casualties or injuries have been reported, although the full extent of damage to the factory and its equipment remains under assessment.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and emergency teams are investigating potential factors, including electrical faults or flammable material storage, which might have contributed to the outbreak.

Officials have urged nearby residents and workers to stay clear of the area while firefighting operations continue, and updates are expected as authorities assess the situation and implement safety measures.
