Trailing 2-1 in a best-of-five frames final, the Pakistani duo of former world champion Muhammad Asif and Asjad Iqbal produced two century breaks to secure a 3-2 victory.

Hong Kong started strong, with Chau Hon Man defeating Asjad Iqbal 94–0, aided by an 85 break, putting Pakistan under early pressure. Pakistan quickly responded in the second singles frame, as Asif crafted a brilliant 82 break to defeat Nansen Wan 95–17, leveling the contest.

The doubles frame swung back in Hong Kong’s favour, as they recorded an 84–41 win to take a 2–1 lead. Facing elimination, Pakistan’s pair entered the reverse singles with determination, starting with Asif delivering a flawless 100 break to overcome Chau Hon Man 100–36, tying the match at 2-2.
