Junaid Safdar is set to marry Shanza Sheikh, the granddaughter of senior political figure Rohale Asghar. According to Asghar, the wedding festivities will be held from January 16 to January 18, marking a three-day celebration involving close relatives from both sides.

Asghar shared that the proposal was finalised through family consultations, with Maryam Nawaz’s eldest daughter and her husband, Raheel Munir, playing a key role in initiating the discussions. He said the family warmly welcomed the proposal and expressed happiness over the match.

My son Junaid’s nikah with Ayesha Saif-ur-Rahman Khan will take place in London on 22nd August Insha’Allah. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the ceremony owing to blatant victimisation, bogus cases and my name on ECL. 1/2 pic.twitter.com/7HYrm5mNaH

The formalisation of the relationship was hosted by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, who arranged a dinner to mark the occasion. Asghar noted that the hospitality and personal involvement of both Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz left a positive impression on his family.

According to the announced schedule, the Mehndi ceremony will be held at Jati Umra, the Sharif family residence on the outskirts of Lahore. The Walima will also take place at the same venue. Sources said the wedding events will be private, with attendance limited to immediate family members and close relatives.

The bride-to-be, Shanza Sheikh, is reported to be a close friend of Maryam Nawaz’s daughter, Mahnoor, which is said to have strengthened ties between the two families. While details of the Nikah ceremony have not been publicly shared, preparations for the wedding are reportedly underway.
