PM Shehbaz reaches Rahim Yar Khan for UAE meet

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Rahim Yar Khan on Tuesday to meet the UAE President. The meeting aims to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates. Officials said the discussion will focus on trade, investment, and regional cooperation.

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan arrived in Pakistan on December 26. Since then, he has been staying in Rahim Yar Khan for a private hunting trip. The President’s visit marks a continuation of ongoing Pakistan-UAE strategic engagement.

On December 27, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar briefed the media. He confirmed that the UAE President was in Rahim Yar Khan for hunting purposes. The briefing emphasized that the official diplomatic discussions will coincide with the President’s stay.

Analysts say the visit highlights the growing importance of Pakistan-UAE relations. They note that bilateral trade, investment opportunities, and regional security cooperation will be key topics. Both sides are expected to sign agreements to strengthen economic collaboration.

Observers believe the meeting will boost mutual trust and long-term partnerships. They also expect enhanced collaboration on energy, infrastructure, and defense projects in the coming months.
