UoG faculty hone skills in curriculum development

GUJRAT – A one-day training workshop on modern pedagogical approaches at Hafiz Hayat Campus on Thursday equipped the faculty members with innovative tools and techniques to strengthen their teaching skills and achieve curriculum excellence at the varsity.

Organized by the Human Resource Development Centre (HRDC) at the UoG, the workshop aimed to guide the UoG faculty members in aligning academic curricula with global educational standards and also enhance their professional skills and teaching capabilities, particularly visiting lecturers.

Led by HRDC Director Prof. Dr Mirza Ashfaq Ahmed, the workshop featured distinguished resource persons including Chairperson Education Department Dr Sher Zaman, Assistant Professors Dr Shaista Khalid and Dr Mubeen-ul-Islam.  As many as 50 faculty members participated and benefited from three technical sessions.

Prof. Dr Mirza Ashfaq Ahmed emphasized that designing curricula in line with international academic trends is a core responsibility of educators. He highlighted that effective communication during teaching not only improves learning outcomes but also contributes to the holistic personality development of students.

The resource persons elaborated on the objectives of modern teaching, stressing that the rapidly evolving educational landscape of the 21st century requires continuous improvement in teaching skills and techniques. They noted that exposure to new ideas and innovative methods enables students to acquire practical competencies and prepares them to contribute meaningfully to national development.

The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognizing the successful participation of faculty members.
