Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is not serious about dialogue with the government. He made the remarks during a news conference in Islamabad. Tarar blamed PTI’s divided groups and negative stance against state institutions.
He stressed that dialogue is necessary but PTI must first abandon hostility toward the state. Tarar criticized PTI for showing no interest in public welfare or lowering political tensions. He said governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has collapsed under PTI’s administration.

The minister also condemned PTI for not denouncing Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) outright. He reassured that Pakistan will win the war against terrorism and that terrorists lack capacity to hit major targets. Tarar cited 2025 as a year of military and economic achievements for Pakistan.
He highlighted Pakistan Air Force’s Marka-e-Haq victory, record-setting stock market performance, $3.6 billion in remittances, rising foreign reserves, and growing foreign investment. Tarar appreciated overseas Pakistanis for supporting the economy. He said the world now respects Pakistan’s political and military leadership.

Defense Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif urged PTI to change its attitude for meaningful talks. He said KP government must support security institutions to fight terrorism. Asif also emphasized the need for written cooperation from Afghan authorities to address cross-border terrorism.
