Sharjeel Memon showcases Sindh’s record achievements

Published on: January 17, 2026 6:04 PM

Senior Sindh Minister Sharjeel Memon has called on other provinces to match Sindh’s performance. He said politics has sadly become focused on criticizing each other. Memon emphasized that provinces must show results rather than engage in negative debates.

Memon highlighted Sindh’s free treatment through CyberKnife, noting that Sindh is the only government worldwide offering this service at no cost. He said CyberKnife treatment is available in only 11 countries and normally costs millions of dollars. He added that last year, Sindh’s public hospitals treated 2.9 million patients free of charge.

He explained that 56% of patients in NICVD, outside Sindh, come for heart disease treatment in Sindh hospitals. Memon also mentioned that despite the 2022 floods, Sindh is building 2.1 million houses and has planted mangrove trees in record time. He noted Sindh has twice set Guinness World Records.

Memon spoke about Thar’s infrastructure, revealing that Sindh has spent $1 billion and produces electricity from Thar coal for the whole country. He added that experts agree coal is the cheapest energy source, and Thar holds the largest coal reserves in Pakistan.
