PM Shehbaz is also expected to host and chair a Pakistan-specific “High-level Business Roundtable” with corporate leaders. The FO stated that, on the sidelines, the prime minister will engage with world leaders and business executives to highlight Pakistan’s investment opportunities, economic vision, and development initiatives.
“Articulating Pakistan’s perspective on global and regional peace, economic growth, trade, and investment opportunities will be central to the prime minister’s key messages during the visit,” the FO added.
The WEF Annual Meeting convenes political leaders, business executives, heads of international organisations, and civil society representatives to deliberate on pressing global issues, including economic, social, environmental, and geopolitical challenges. Pakistan’s participation is aimed at fostering international cooperation, attracting investment, and projecting the government’s policy priorities on a global platform.
