Apple TV+ has unveiled the first look at ‘Ted Lasso’ season 4, confirming the series’ return this summer, three years after the last season aired in March 2023. The Emmy-winning comedy, which has earned 13 Emmy Awards to date, was officially renewed in March 2025.

Jason Sudeikis, the series creator and star, reprises his role as the affable football coach Ted Lasso. In the upcoming season, Ted faces a new challenge, taking charge of a women’s football team in the second division. The storyline marks a fresh direction for the series, expanding its focus beyond the fictional AFC Richmond men’s team.

The new season also introduces Tanya Reynolds, known for Sex Education, as an assistant coach at Ted’s club. Additionally, a significant casting change sees Grant Feely taking over the role of Ted’s son, Henry, replacing Gus Turner, who had portrayed the character in previous seasons.

Series regulars including Hannah Waddingham, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, and others are expected to return, continuing to bring their signature performances to the popular comedy-drama.

Apple TV+ shared the announcement via its official Instagram account, stating: “You better believe it. Ted Lasso returns this summer.” Fans can expect the same blend of humour, heart, and sports drama that made the show a global hit while exploring new storylines and character dynamics.
