
Iran’s top security official arrived in Oman days after renewed nuclear talks with the United States. The visit follows meetings held in Muscat between Iranian and American officials. It signals continued diplomatic engagement after recent tensions.
Ali Larijani, secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, is leading the visit. He is scheduled to meet Oman’s Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. He will also hold talks with Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad al-Busaidi.

According to Iranian state media, discussions will cover regional and international developments. The talks will also focus on strengthening economic cooperation between Iran and Oman. Officials described the agenda as broad and forward-looking.
The visit comes after Iran and the United States resumed dialogue in Oman on Friday. These talks marked the first engagement since last June’s Iran-Israel war. That conflict lasted twelve days and briefly involved the US military.
