Punjab CBD opens 2026 with high-impact auction

The Punjab Central Business District Development Authourity (PCBDDA), also known as Central Business District Punjab (CBD Punjab), successfully commenced 2026 with its first high-profile auction of the year, further strengthening its reputation for transparency, premium offerings, and sustained investor confidence.

The auction featured two prime assets: the landmark CBD Arena plot in CBD Quaid District and a premium residential plot in NSIT City Residencia-2, CBD NSIT City. The CBD Arena plot, measuring 10 kanals, had a reserve price of PKR 50 million per kanal. Following competitive bidding, the plot was awarded to Playdium at PKR 70.07 million per kanal, resulting in a total transaction value of approximately PKR 700.7 million.

In parallel, the 4.9 kanal NSIT City Residencia-2 plot was successfully acquired by Shoaib Shafiq, at a final price of PKR 590.45 million, underscoring the growing demand for high-quality residential developments within CBD NSIT City.

The auction drew over 50 bids, reflecting strong participation from national investors and signaling continued market confidence in CBD Punjab’s strategic urban development model. The robust competition and premium price realization further demonstrate the increasing value and credibility of CBD Punjab’s portfolio.

CEO CBD Punjab, Imran Amin, stated: “This successful opening auction of 2026 reflects the unwavering trust investors place in CBD Punjab’s vision, governance, and delivery standards. We remain committed to creating world-class infrastructure and sustainable economic opportunities that position Lahore as a regional business powerhouse.”

COO CBD Punjab, Brigadier (R) Mansoor Janjua, added: “The enthusiastic response to this auction highlights the strength of our transparent and professionally managed processes. We are grateful to our investors and stakeholders for their continued confidence in CBD Punjab.”

Senior officials of CBD Punjab including Riaz Hussain, Executive Director Technical, Ali Nazeer Malik, Executive Director Finance, Ali Waqar Shah, Director Business Development & Investor Relations, Waseem Siddiq, Director Marketing, Sameer Aftab Sial Director Architecture, Asif Iqbal Director Management & Planning ,Jawad Ahmed Director Procurement, Director Legal Ahmed Armaghan, Director Project Management Asif Babar, Director Construction Asif Babar and other officials attended the auction proceedings.

CBD Punjab reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating development initiatives and upcoming auctions, ensuring sustained economic growth and reinforcing Lahore’s emergence as a modern business and lifestyle destination.
