Indirect Message Exchanges Between U.S. and Iran Still Underway, Report Says

Indirect Message Exchanges Between U.S. and Iran Still Underway, Report Says

A U.S. website reported that indirect message exchanges between the United States and Iran are still ongoing, despite the end of direct talks. According to the report, Egypt, Qatar, and the United Kingdom are acting as intermediaries, continuing to relay messages between both countries as tensions remain high.

The website said the U.S. is demanding that Iran halt uranium enrichment and suspend its missile program for five years. In contrast, Iran is seeking compensation for war-related damages it claims to have suffered. The two sides remain far apart on key issues, making the role of intermediaries critical in preventing further escalation.

A U.S. official added that Iran’s compensation demands could be met if the United States returns frozen Iranian assets. The ongoing indirect exchanges highlight that while direct diplomacy has stalled, both nations are still seeking ways to negotiate sensitive security and financial matters.

The continuation of indirect message exchanges between the U.S. and Iran underscores the fragile nature of the dialogue. Officials suggest that mediating countries will play a central role in bridging differences, as both Washington and Tehran attempt to find a path forward without resuming direct negotiations.
