Karachi, Sindh to see rainfall tomorrow

Published on: March 27, 2026 4:03 PM

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain and thunderstorms in Karachi and across Sindh on Saturday. The weather is expected to be influenced by a westerly wave moving in from southwestern Balochistan. Officials warned that the rain could bring windstorms, hail, and lightning, posing risks to weak structures and crops.

Karachi is expected to remain mostly sunny on Friday, with highs of 32-34°C and lows around 24°C. Humidity may reach 76 percent during the day, dropping to 45-55 percent in the evening. Winds will shift from northwesterly to west/southwesterly.

On Saturday, the PMD forecast partly cloudy weather with isolated rain or thunderstorms. Temperatures will range between 31-33°C during the day and 22-24°C at night. Humidity is likely to be 75-85 percent during daytime and 55-65 percent in the evening.

Rain is also expected in other districts, including Jamshoro, Dadu, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Sukkur, Ghotki, Badin, Umerkot, and Tharparkar. The PMD advised residents and farmers to take precautions against potential damage to crops, solar panels, billboards, and weak structures.

Sunday is predicted to be mostly cloudy with no rainfall, slightly cooler temperatures of 30-32°C, and lower humidity of 65-75 percent during the day. Winds are expected to remain west/southwesterly on both Saturday and Sunday. The warning follows last week’s thunderstorm in Karachi, which killed 20 people and injured eight.
