Sydney Sweeney has responded indirectly after facing criticism from Hollywood veteran Kim Novak over her upcoming biopic role.
The actress appeared unfazed, sharing a relaxed social media update with fans.
Rather than addressing the criticism directly, Sydney Sweeney took to Instagram on April 4 to share glimpses of her recent trip to Portugal.
In a carousel post, the actress appeared cheerful and relaxed, spending time with loved ones during a break from work.
“Still not sure about these dumps but here we go,” she captioned the post, offering a lighthearted update amid the ongoing controversy.
Kim Novak, 93, recently voiced strong objections to Sweeney portraying her in the upcoming biopic Scandalous.
The veteran actress argued that the casting felt mismatched, emphasising that Sweeney’s image did not align with her own. Novak suggested that Sweeney’s on-screen persona could influence how the relationship in the film is perceived. “She looks sexy all the time,” Novak said, adding that this would make it difficult to separate the performance from a more sexualized portrayal. She further stated that she would not have approved the casting decision.
Amid the debate, Sweeney continues to remain active on social media and in the public eye.
The actress, who is currently romantically linked with Scooter Braun, has been sharing moments from her personal life, including her recent getaway.
