According to sources, the prime minister will depart for Saudi Arabia before heading to Qatar and later Turkey. The visit is aimed at holding consultations with friendly nations on important diplomatic and regional matters.

During his stay in Saudi Arabia, Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The meeting will focus on strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, as well as discussing key regional and global developments.

Sources indicated that the leaders will also exchange views on the evolving situation in the Middle East, particularly concerns surrounding the Strait of Hormuz and its potential blockade. In addition, discussions are expected on the next round of US-Iran talks and ongoing diplomatic efforts, including the Islamabad talks.

The prime minister’s visit comes at a time of heightened geopolitical activity, with regional countries closely coordinating their positions on security, economic stability, and diplomatic engagement.

Officials said the tour underscores Pakistan’s commitment to proactive diplomacy and maintaining close ties with key partners in the region. Strengthening economic cooperation, enhancing political coordination, and addressing shared challenges are likely to remain central themes of the discussions.

The meeting with the Saudi crown prince is also expected to reaffirm the longstanding partnership between the two countries and explore avenues for further collaboration across multiple sectors.
