Iran has welcomed Pakistan’s mediation efforts to secure a ceasefire, signaling support for diplomatic solutions while remaining prepared for escalation. The statement highlights Islamabad’s growing role in easing tensions amid the ongoing regional crisis.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said Tehran appreciated Pakistan’s role and reaffirmed readiness to respond to any situation. He stressed that Iran did not initiate the conflict and acted under its right to self-defence.

Baqaei added that Iran would continue to safeguard its security and national interests at all costs. His remarks reflect a dual approach of supporting diplomacy while maintaining a firm defensive posture.
Separately, a spokesperson for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said the region was entering a new order without external powers. He claimed Iranian forces have the capability to respond to any aggression by the United States and Israel.

Earlier, President Masoud Pezeshkian said the country’s armed forces had countered hostile plans and disproved enemy assumptions. He added that national unity and public support had strengthened Iran’s response during the conflict.
