Dar, Fidan discuss regional stability

Pakistan and Türkiye have agreed to strengthen diplomatic coordination after a high-level phone call between their foreign ministers focused on regional stability. The development is important as it reflects ongoing efforts to manage escalating tensions in the region through dialogue and diplomatic engagement. It also highlights close cooperation between the two countries on foreign policy matters.

Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss the regional situation. Both sides reviewed ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability. They emphasized that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable path to resolving regional challenges.

During the call, Pakistan briefed Türkiye on its diplomatic initiatives and recent developments in regional peace efforts. The two leaders also exchanged views on bilateral issues and agreed to maintain close communication. Officials said both countries are committed to supporting coordinated diplomatic engagement in the region.

The discussion also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to an active diplomatic role in promoting stability. Both sides stressed the importance of continued coordination and frequent contact between Islamabad and Ankara. They agreed to further strengthen cooperation in diplomatic and regional affairs going forward.
