EU chief lauds Pakistan’s peace role in call with Dar

The European Union’s foreign policy chief praised Pakistan’s role in regional peace during a call with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. The discussion focused on regional stability, economic concerns, and ongoing diplomatic efforts. Both sides emphasized the importance of continued engagement amid rising tensions.

According to Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry, EU Vice President Kaja Kallas appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and facilitative approach. She acknowledged Islamabad’s efforts in promoting dialogue and reducing regional instability. Consequently, both leaders agreed to maintain close communication on evolving developments.

Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to supporting diplomatic solutions and regional engagement. He highlighted the importance of dialogue in addressing complex geopolitical challenges. In addition, he stressed the need for cooperation to manage economic and security implications of instability.

The two leaders also discussed recent economic initiatives, including the EU-Pakistan Business Forum held in Islamabad. The forum was described as an important step in strengthening trade ties and expanding investment opportunities. Furthermore, both sides expressed interest in deepening economic partnership.

Pakistan has recently received international recognition for its diplomatic outreach during regional tensions. Several countries have acknowledged its role in facilitating dialogue among key stakeholders. Meanwhile, officials say Islamabad continues to position itself as a neutral mediator in ongoing conflicts.
