Gold prices surge by Rs 4,400 per tola

The prices of gold increased in the local market on Thursday, with 24 karat gold per tola rising by Rs 4,400 to settle at Rs 483,962 compared to Rs 479,562 on the previous trading day, according to rates issued by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24 karat gold went up by Rs 3,772 to Rs 414,919 from Rs 411,147, whereas 10 grams of 22 karat gold increased by Rs 3,458 to Rs 380,356 against Rs 376,898. In the international market, the price of gold increased by $44 to $4,616 per ounce from $4,572. Meanwhile, the price of silver per tola increased by Rs 55 to Rs 7,821 from Rs 7,766, while the price of 10 grams of silver also rose by Rs 47 to Rs 6,705 from Rs 6,658. The price of silver in the international market increased by $0.55 to $73.37 per ounce from $72.82.
