PPP workers protest alleged violence

The Pakistan Peoples Party Lahore chapter workers staged a protest outside the People’s Secretariat here on Monday against the alleged violence targeting party members.

The protesters submitted a written complaint addressed to Raja Pervez Ashraf through Member PPP Central Punjab Executive Chaudhry Akhtar.

The demonstrators strongly denounced the reported violence at the party’s Lahore office in Johar Town and demanded immediate and strict action against the responsible involved in the unrest. Chanting slogans against hooliganism and oppression, the protesters called for protection and justice for party workers.

A large number of workers and supporters participated in the demonstration, reiterating their demand for accountability and decisive measures against those responsible for the incidents.

Among those present were Neelam Jabbar, Ahsan Rizvi, Dr Khayyam Hafeez, Musa Khokhar, Rao Babar Jamil, Imran Athwal and Zeeshan Shami. The protest was led by Chaudhry Riaz, Shakeel Mir Channi, Atir Shah, Imran Qadeer and Irfan Bhatti, while other participants included Omar Sharif Bukhari, Dr. Naeem, Aslam Gara, Shahbaz Durrani, Rana Ashhar Nisar, Akbar Hara, Anjum Butt, Chacha Namdad, Saqib Butt, Sheikh Roshan, Bushri Malik, Hamza Shakoor and Mah Alam.
