Zone-I beats Zone-IV by seven wickets in regional cricket tournament

Zone-I secured a seven-wicket victory over Zone-IV on the third day of the fourth round of the Regional Inter-District Senior (Karachi Region) Cricket Tournament.

In other matches, Zone-VI defeated Zone-VII by an innings and 97 runs, while Zone-III beat Zone-II by an innings and three runs on the second day. Both winning teams earned 10 points each. The tournament is being organized by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

At UBL Sports Complex, Zone-IV scored 198 in their first innings and 109 in the second. In reply, Zone-I posted 186 in the first innings and chased the target in the second innings, reaching 123 for 3 in 33 overs.

Muhammad Jawad remained unbeaten on 46 with seven fours, while Malik Zain-ul-Abideen scored an unbeaten 23. Farman Ullah made 23 and Muhammad Umair Sheikh contributed 19 runs. Afnan Khan took 2 for 44, while Muhammad Uzair Ali Khan claimed 1 for 39. The fifth round of the tournament will be played from May 6 to 8 at different venues. Matches include Zone-I vs Zone-VI at KCCA Stadium, Zone-II vs Zone-V at Baqai Cricket Ground, and Zone-IV vs Zone-VII at UBL Sports Complex.
