Pakistani celebrities reimagine Met Gala 2026 with AI-generated looks

Published on: May 7, 2026 5:08 AM

As the Met Gala 2026 dominated social conversations in New York City, Pakistani celebrities joined the trend in creative and unexpected ways, showcasing AI-generated versions of their own red carpet looks. Pakistani stars took to Instagram to share their digitally crafted outfits, blurring the line between fashion, fantasy and technology.

“Yes it’s true I was invited to the Met Gala 2026. Haters will say it’s fake!” wrote Srha Asgr, posting an AI-generated look featuring a beige dress adorned with vintage picture frames. Qudsia Ali also joined in, sharing her AI look in a pink floral ensemble. She captioned her post: “Attending it digitally.”

Instagram couple Rehan and Rabya, also known as Ronnie & Coco participated in the trend as well, posting to their story in matching black sequined outfits inspired by Dr Octopus.

Actor Azfar Rehman took a more conceptual route, unveiling an AI-generated outfit inspired by Antoni Gaudí’s iconic architectural work, La Pedrera. “Let me know what you think. Would it have been a hit on the red carpet?” he asked his followers.

Many celebrities and fans chimed in, leaving surprised and amused reactions to his imaginative look. The viral trend highlights how Pakistani celebrities are embracing AI as a new form of self-expression, turning events like the Met Gala into more accessible experiences. While they might not have walked the iconic steps, their digital appearances received traction from fans.
