Australian cricketer David Warner has admitted wrongdoing in a drink-driving case after being charged for driving under the influence during a recent stay in Sydney.

According to local media reports, Warner’s legal representative confirmed that the veteran batter has accepted responsibility for the incident and acknowledged that his actions were careless and irresponsible.

Speaking outside a Sydney court, Warner’s lawyer Bobby Hill said the cricketer recognised that he had made a serious mistake. He described the decision to drive after drinking as “reckless” and “foolish,” adding that Warner intends to formally accept responsibility in court.
The lawyer further revealed that Warner had consumed three glasses of alcohol before getting behind the wheel. However, the former Australian opener did not appear in court during the latest hearing. The case has now been adjourned until next month for further proceedings.
The incident reportedly took place last month when Warner travelled to Sydney during a break from his commitments in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). At the time, he was participating in the tournament as captain of Karachi Kings.
The case had previously attracted significant attention in both Australia and Pakistan, with cricket authorities and media closely monitoring developments involving the high-profile player.
