Three motorcyclists killed in road accident

Three people were killed when the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a tractor-trolley in Lahore on Thandi Road, late Sunday night,

According to rescue sources, the accident occurred in front of the Aitchison College gate where a rashly driven tractor trolley hit a motorcycle, killing two persons on the spot while the third person died before reaching the hospital.

DSP Traffic Aqeel Gujjar immediately reached the spot and took the tractor trolley driver into custody.

The deceased include 45-year-old Shahid, 35-year-old Mohsin Haroon and 26-year-old Adnan. The accident occurred in front of Sultan Pali Bulevard opposite Aitchison College Gate at Sundar Das Chowk.

Race Course Police reached the spot and started legal action, CTO Lahore Syed Abdul Rahim Shirazi ordered a full investigation into the accident.

Man seriously injured in explosion inside house in Rawalpindi

A man was seriously injured after an explosion inside a house near Margalla Hospital in Fauji Colony, Mandi Morr area of Rawalpindi on Monday.

According to Rescue 1122, the rescue team rushed to the scene shifted injured to hospital after being given initial medical aid on the spot. The victim, identified as 28-year-old Arslan Akhter, resident of Bangash Colony, Rawalpindi, sustained 82 percent burn injuries.

Despite the severity of his injuries, he remained conscious during treatment. Preliminary investigations suggest that the explosion occurred when the victim turned on a fan switch inside the house. The exact cause of the blast is yet to be determined, and investigations are underway.
