Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has stressed the need for continuation of dialogue and exercising restraint as he discussed the simmering Middle East situation with his Turkish and Egyptian counterparts. Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Foreign Minister of Türkiye Hakan Fidan late Wednesday night, during which they discussed the evolving regional situation and underscored the importance of dialogue, and restraint.

Both the foreign ministers expressed the hope for an early understanding among all parties which would contribute to lasting peace and stability in the region.

The two leaders agreed to maintain close coordination on regional and international issues of mutual interest and continue high-level engagements to advance the multifaceted Pakistan-Türkiye partnership. On Thursday, Ishaq dar rang Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty. They discussed regional developments and stressed the importance of continued dialogue and diplomatic engagement.

FM Abdelatty appreciated Pakistan’s continued mediation efforts, and both leaders expressed the hope that ongoing efforts would lead to an early understanding between the parties, contributing to lasting regional peace and stability. FM Abdelatty extended an invitation to DPM Ishaq Dar to attend the upcoming meeting of the Regional Four (R-4) foreign ministers in Egypt later this month, which the DPM graciously accepted.
