Food Ministry decides to supply wheat to KPK

The Ministry of National Food Security has decided to supply wheat to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) in line with directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. According to the directives, the Prime Minister has ordered the Ministry of Food Security to supply wheat through the Pakistan Agricultural Storage & Services Corporation Limited (PASSCO). Federal Minister for Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain, in his statement, said that the aim of this move by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is to protect the people of KPK from the effects of inflation. He further said that instructions have been issued to ensure immediate and effective wheat supply through PASSCO. He added that the Prime Minister’s move is a practical step for food security and public relief.
