Pakistan and China have welcomed the memorandum of understanding reached between Iran and the United States. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar discussed the development with his Chinese counterpart during a telephone conversation. The agreement is being viewed as an important step toward regional peace and stability.

During the call, both leaders exchanged views on recent diplomatic efforts that helped reduce tensions in the Middle East. The Chinese foreign minister praised Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement and mediation efforts. He also acknowledged Islamabad’s contribution to promoting dialogue and supporting broader international peace initiatives.

Meanwhile, Dar appreciated China’s support for Pakistan’s efforts regarding the Iran-US understanding. He also recognized the significance of the joint five-point initiative advanced by Pakistan and China. According to officials, both countries remain committed to encouraging peaceful solutions to regional disputes.

Furthermore, the two foreign ministers emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination during the implementation phase of the understanding. They agreed that continued communication among all stakeholders would be necessary to ensure progress and prevent renewed tensions. Both sides stressed the need for constructive engagement and confidence-building measures.

The leaders also highlighted the strategic importance of keeping the Strait of Hormuz open for international trade. They noted that uninterrupted maritime traffic remains essential for global energy supplies and economic stability.
