Daryl Mitchell retains No.1 ODI ranking

Published on: June 17, 2026 6:20 PM

New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell has retained the top position in the latest ICC ODI batting rankings, while Pakistan captain Babar Azam has slipped to sixth place. The updated rankings highlight shifts among the world’s leading players ahead of a busy international schedule. Fans and teams closely monitor the standings as they reflect current form and consistency.

Mitchell continues to lead the ODI batting charts after maintaining strong performances for New Zealand. Indian batting star Virat Kohli remains in second place, reinforcing his position among the format’s most reliable performers. Meanwhile, Babar’s drop to sixth marks a notable change in the upper tier of the rankings.

In the bowling rankings, Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan has successfully held onto the No. 1 position. The leg-spinner continues to dominate the ODI bowling charts through his consistent wicket-taking ability and economical performances.

Pakistan received encouraging news with leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed rising to second place among ODI bowlers. His climb reflects impressive recent displays and strengthens Pakistan’s presence near the top of the global rankings.

Additionally, Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi moved up one place to ninth in the bowling standings. The latest rankings underline the strong representation of Pakistani bowlers while highlighting the continued dominance of Mitchell and Rashid in their respective categories.
