A kidnapping attempt targeting a 16-year-old girl in Gujranwala was thwarted after her two sisters intervened and resisted the suspects, forcing them to flee the scene. The incident, captured on CCTV, has drawn widespread attention on social media after footage of the encounter went viral.

According to police and local reports, the teenager was walking through a busy market area with her sisters when a vehicle stopped nearby. A masked suspect allegedly stepped out of the car and attempted to forcibly abduct the girl in broad daylight.

The CCTV footage shows the suspect grabbing the teenager and trying to drag her toward the vehicle. However, her sisters immediately confronted the attacker and resisted the abduction attempt. Their swift response disrupted the suspect’s plans and prevented the girl from being taken away.

Faced with resistance and growing attention from people in the area, the suspect and his accomplices abandoned the attempt and fled the scene in their vehicle.

Following the circulation of the footage online, police launched an investigation and registered a case. Authorities said efforts are underway to identify and arrest those involved using CCTV evidence and other available leads.

Police officials stated that raids are being conducted to trace the suspects and determine the motive behind the attempted abduction. They also urged citizens to report suspicious activities and cooperate with law enforcement agencies during the investigation.

The incident has sparked concern over public safety and security in crowded commercial areas, while many social media users have praised the courage and quick thinking of the victim’s sisters.

Cases of attempted kidnappings have periodically raised alarm in different parts of the country. Law enforcement agencies have repeatedly emphasized the importance of vigilance, timely reporting, and community cooperation in preventing such crimes. Authorities have assured the public that all available resources are being utilized to apprehend the suspects and bring them to justice.
