Khamenei urges legal action over alleged US, Israeli war crimes

Published on: June 28, 2026 5:42 PM

Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has called for legal proceedings against the United States and Israel over alleged war crimes committed against Iran. In a message issued during Judiciary Week, he said the matter should be pursued through both domestic and international courts while stressing the importance of ensuring accountability for those responsible.

Khamenei also demanded that those involved in the Minab school incident be brought to justice without delay. He said the judiciary must continue working in line with the guidance of the martyred leader, adding that a strong and effective judicial system would increase public confidence and strengthen the country’s legal institutions.

Furthermore, the Iranian leader urged the judiciary to focus on reforms that produce clear and practical benefits for ordinary citizens. He said judicial improvements should go beyond policy discussions and be fully implemented so that people experience meaningful changes in their daily lives through a fair and efficient legal system.

He also emphasized that protecting citizens’ rights and eliminating corruption should remain among the judiciary’s highest priorities. According to Khamenei, these responsibilities are essential for maintaining public trust and ensuring that justice is delivered effectively across all sectors of society.

Meanwhile, Khamenei called on all state institutions to ensure their performance reflects Islamic principles and upholds the dignity of the Iranian nation. He stressed that stronger governance, institutional accountability and effective judicial reforms are necessary to improve public services and reinforce confidence in the country’s legal and administrative systems.
