Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is rapidly translating her vision of public service, social welfare and economic empowerment into reality through people-centric initiatives across Punjab.
She said that after the landmark “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” and “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” programmes, the Punjab Government has now launched the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” scheme, describing it as another historic initiative aimed at empowering landless and underprivileged families.
Azma Bokhari stated that under the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” scheme, 30,000 families are being provided ownership of agricultural land. She added that more than 180,000 people have already become homeowners under the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” programme, while in the first phase of the “Apni Zameen Apna Ghar” initiative, 2,000 deserving families have received free residential plots, reflecting the Punjab Government’s commitment to providing dignified housing opportunities.
Highlighting the government’s support for the agricultural sector, the Information Minister said Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has placed farmers’ welfare at the forefront of her development agenda. Across Punjab, 900,000 Kissan Cards and 30,000 Green Tractors have been distributed, while 5,000 farmers have received Super Seeder machines and 8,000 tube wells have been converted to solar power. She said these initiatives would enhance agricultural productivity, reduce cultivation costs and significantly improve farmers’ incomes.
Azma Bokhari said that the Punjab Government’s public welfare programmes are no longer limited to announcements but are producing tangible improvements in the lives of citizens. She added that the journey of development and prosperity now extends from Attock to Rahim Yar Khan, with people across the province benefiting from these transformative initiatives.
The Information Minister further said that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif is setting new benchmarks in public service, with the welfare of the people remaining the central focus of her governance. She said Maryam Nawaz has consistently responded to political propaganda, misinformation and baseless allegations through transparent governance, effective delivery and measurable performance.
She added that the people of Punjab clearly recognize the difference between those who serve the public and those who rely solely on political rhetoric and allegations. The Punjab Government, she said, remains fully committed to improving the quality of life of its citizens and accelerating the province’s journey towards inclusive growth and prosperity under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
