UCP conducts media audit seminar

LAHORE: University of Central Punjab (UCP) on Friday conducted a seminar for evaluating performance of the media within Pakistan.

Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Regional General Manager Ayesha Wattoo and journalist Ahmed Waleed were guest speakers on ocassion, UCP said in a press release.

According to the press release, the seminar was held to scrutinise reasons for media’s failure to abide by prescribed rules despite presence of regulatory bodies.

“We have conducted this seminar in which our valuable guest speakers will tell us about current role of media and what examining measures are there to which our media is accountable,” said the press release.
