CM Bizenjo to announce a new party for Balochistan

ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Chief Minister (CM) Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo on Wednesday announced formation of a new party after he parted ways with Pakistan Muslim League – Quaid (PML-Q) on Tuesday.

As per reports, Bizenjo along with other party members met PML-Q head Chaudhry Shujaat in Islamabad and renounced his affiliation with the party.

Balochistan CM stated that he had left the party on good terms and had no conflicts with and within the party. He added that formation of a new party was solely for the benefit of the province of Balochistan.

As per sources, the paperwork for the formation of the new party was completed after consultations with constitutional and legal experts. The party’s name is still being considered, possible names for the new party include Balochistan Democratic Party or Democratic Alliance.

PML-Q leader Chaudry Pervaiz Elahi considering the circumstances said that the province of Balochistan was of pivotal interest to the party and it shared good relations with Balochi people. He added that collective efforts were must to strengthen Pakistan.
