Sania Mirza, Shoaib Malik announce first pregnancy in real sporty fashion

Grand Slam-winning Indian tennis star Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer, Shoaib Malik, on Monday announced that Sania is pregnant with their first child.

The couple posted a picture on their Twitter accounts of a baby vest and a feeding bottle between two T-shirts bearing their names. It was accompanied by the hashtag #BabyMirzaMalik.

During a panel discussion on ‘gender bias’ at the Goa Fest 2018,the 31 year old, Sania Mirza said that any child she will have would bear the ‘Mirza-Malik’ surname and that Shoaib has always wanted a daughter.

“Today I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname. So that’s where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter.”

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik have been married for 8 years now.
